Professor Dr. Ali Ibrahim Al-Rashid
Professor Dr. Ali Ibrahim Al-Rashid is a distinguished Kuwaiti academic and expert in Islamic jurisprudence. He serves as a Professor in the Department of Fiqh and Usul at the Faculty of Sharia, Kuwait University. Dr. Al-Rashid holds a Ph.D. in Sharia from the Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom, Cairo University, where he also completed his Master’s degree. His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Fiqh and Usul from the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Kuwait University.
Dr. Al-Rashid is an esteemed member of various Sharia supervisory boards in prominent banks and financial institutions across the Middle East, including Boubyan Bank, Ahli United Bank, and Warba Bank, among others. He also plays a significant role in Sharia supervision for companies within the investment, finance, and insurance sectors.
His scholarly contributions include numerous research papers and books on contemporary financial transactions and Islamic finance. His works explore intricate aspects of Islamic law and its application to modern financial practices, making significant contributions to the field of Islamic jurisprudence.
